Martin Ryan wins 5th WSOPC Ring in Event #1 at Coconut Creek

The Seminole Casino Coconut Creek of Florida is currently playing host to the World Series of Poker Circuit, with Event #1 kicking off this week. The tournament would start and finish on the same day, offering a $365 buy-in and No-Limit Hold’em structure. With 30-minute blind levels, the tournament would be quick, ending with Martin Ryan earning his 5th WSOPC ring in less than two years.

The poker event had a nice turnout of 318 players, with 33 earning a cashout during the competition. It would take 13 hours for the event to reach the final table, with Ryan facing off against Bryce McVay in heads-up play. McVay would actually have the largest chip stack for some time during final table play but Ryan was able to double up a few times before the two went head-to-head, giving him a nice chip stack to eventually earn the win.

The win marks the 5th time that Ryan has earned a World Series of Poker Circuit ring in 15 months, with the WSOP reporting that the most recent two rings having been earned in Florida. During his time competing in the Circuit over the past year and a half, Ryan has amassed more than $200,000 in winnings.
