PartyPoker Removes Fees For Inactivity

Online poker operator partypoker has announced that it will be removing inactivity fees for accounts that have a balance and have been dormant for 180 days.

Until now, partypoker has been charging a monthly administrative charge of 5 Euros for accounts that have been dormat for 180 days or more. The fee was automatically deducted from a player account balance every thirty (30) days. However, if your account balance was zero, there was no deduction.

As you might imagine, the procedure was not popular among players who might take long breaks and they are now glad to see it go away.

Patrik Leonard (partypoker ambassador) and Mike Sexton (partypoker chairman) both believe the new change will be widely welcomed in the poker community, and reveal there will be also new changes coming to the partypoker lobby and table design soon.

– Listening to players is central to everything we do at partypoker. That means absorbing all comments and complaints, whether in forums, chat rooms or on social media platforms, in conversations with our customer service team or face-to-face at live events. Sometimes players wish to take a break from the game, for whatever reason, without having to worry about their account balances. Players should not be charged an inactivity fee and we are pleased to be removing this historical charge with immediate effect. We also want to reassure players that, of course, they will be welcomed back at any time, partypoker Chairman and former WPT commentator Mike Sexton commented the new change.
