This August, the Card Player Poker Tour will venture to the Gulf Coast for its inaugural stop at the Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort in D’Iberville, Mississippi. The series will run from Aug. 2-13 at the 68,000-sq. ft. casino, which opened in December of 2015.
There are 14 events on the schedule, with games including no-limit hold’em, stud eight-or-better and pot-limit Omaha. The tournament structures also vary, offering win-the-button, turbo, survivor, ante only, double shootout and seniors events.
The highlight of the series is undoubtedly the $360 buy-in main event, which boasts a $100,000 guarantee. The four-day event has five starting flights beginning at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 10, at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 11 and at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 12.
Those who want to get into the main event at a discounted price can do so with five satellites spread throughout the series. These $70 tournaments award a main event seat for ever eight entries.
