Fedor Holz defines early High Roller Week parameters

See, it was the end of the year, and someone at PokerStars got it in their heads to put together a week for the world’s high rollers. On the live circuit, those people are usually pretty easy to spot. It’s the same few dozen people battling each other for giant money. We almost always know the winner as one of the high rolling crew. Heck, for a while there it seemed like that guy was always Fedor Holz.

So, who shows up to win ones with lower buy-ins but big prizes?

Same dude, man. Same dude.

That High Roller Week started yesterday. Tonight, Fedor Holz closed out the first event with a $174,498 win. He bested the 442-entry field and collected himself another high rolling title.

Meanwhile, PLO stalwart BlackFortuna collected $54,000 in the second event, a $2,100 buy-in 122-entry PLO tourney. Another well-known grinder, C. Darwin2, closed out the turbo event today for nearly $90,000 in combined prize and bounty money.

In all there will be 22 High Roller events throughout the week, culminating in the big $2 million guaranteed $2,100 tourney on Sunday.

We’ll reserve a seat for Mr. Holz.
