Konami Gaming announces two senior level appointments

Las Vegas-based subsidiary of the Konami Corporation, Konami Gaming Inc. has named Casey Whelan as its Vice President of games sales for North America, while Jay Bertsch will take on the role of Vice President of global system sales.

Prior to the promotion, Bertsch served as senior director of system sales for more than ten years aiding the leading designer and manufacturer of slot machines and casino management systems in growing its system sales. Also a recruit from within the Konami group, Whelan has been with the firm since 2012 when he assumed the position of director of regional sales.

Commenting on the pair’s promotions, executive vice president and chief commercial officer for Konami Gaming, Thomas Jingoli, said: “For years, Casey Whalen and Jay Bertsch have provided key support in championing Konami customers and advancing Konami’s market presence. They offer outstanding leadership and expertise for our sales division, with proven ability to achieve operational targets. As Konami’s game offering and systems technology continues to expand to new areas, the focus of our leadership remains on customer commitment and engaging entertainment,” according to the news release.
