Kanit registered late to the tournament, but that didn’t stop the Italian pro to quadruple his starting stack of 250,000 to 1,141,000. Kanit, who is sponsored by Winamax, was also the only player to end Day 1 with over one million in chips.

Day 2 is already underway and few more players late-regged to the tournament to make the final number of entries 19. However, only the best three players will receive money: 1st place is worth A$931,000, 2nd place A$558,600 and 3rd place A$372,400.
