Rush Street Gaming partnering with Kambi Group for sportsbook launch

American regional casino operator Rush Street Gaming has announced that its Rush Street Interactive subsidiary has signed a deal that will see its own proprietary online gaming platform integrate sportsbetting technology from iGaming innovator Kambi Group.

Rush Street Gaming is responsible for four land-based gambling venues in three states including the SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, alongside the New Jersey-licensed PlaySugarHouse.com online casino. In the wake of the recent quashing by the United States Supreme Court of the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA), the firm stated that it is now hoping to soon add a local sportsbook service to its current offerings.

Chicago-headquartered Rush Street Gaming, which also runs Rivers Casino-branded casinos in the cities of Pittsburgh, Schenectady and Des Plaines, declared that lawmakers in two of the states in which it operates have already passed appropriate sportsbetting legislation while officials in the remaining pair are currently in the process of formulating similar measures.

Richard Schwartz, President for Rush Street Interactive, explained that his firm had been established on the principles of ‘providing entertaining and memorable experiences’ without compromising integrity. As such, he proclaimed that it was important that any partner in launching an online sportsbetting product for any United States jurisdiction ‘shared those principles’ while simultaneously focusing on player experiences and innovation.

“Now following the exciting [United States] Supreme Court ruling, we look forward to launching a high-quality sportsbook in the United States in the near future as well as in other regulated international markets,” read a Thursday statement from Schwartz.

For his part, Kristian Nylen, Chief Executive Officer for Malta-based Kambi Group, described Rush Street Interactive as ‘one of the most respected gaming companies in the United States’. He moreover pronounced that the recent deal represented an affirmation that his firm can supply ‘online premium sportsbetting services’ that will be welcomed by American aficionados and assist in protecting ‘the integrity of sports’.
