Vivian Saliba Joins Team888 Brazil as Newest Ambassador

Vivian Saliba has become the latest player to join Team888, with the Brazilian’s announcing her partnership deal from the sidelines of the WSOP Europe currently nearing completion at the King’s Casino in the Czech Republic.

After officially signing her contract in front of the cameras, the new 888poker Ambassador said that it was a privilege to become part of one of the world’s largest poker sites, and one that boasts such a strong roster of sponsored pros. This include the likes of Chris Moorman, Sofia Lovgren, Kara Scott, Natalie Hoff, Parker Talbot, as well as fellow compatriot Bruno Foster.

In the past, Saliba has done some reporting work for 888poker, but she says that she now looks forward to representing the site doing what she loves best, playing poker. Elaborating further, Saliba explained:

“There are many aspects I like about 888poker. First of all, the 888live events because of the affordable buy-ins with good structures and amazing locations. I also like the online platform because of the variety of different tournaments and cash games with a large number of players online at any time.”

The Brazilian made her first live tournament cash back in 2014, and this year recorded her first cash outside of her native South America. It was her performance at the 2017 WSOP, however, which attracted the attention of a wider poker audience after the 24-year old finished Event #54: $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha – 8 Handed Champsionship in 11th place for $47,923, still representing her biggest score to date.

“I prefer PLO because there is way more action compared to Hold’em what makes it more enjoyable to play,” explains Saliba. “A lot of players are new to the game and make many mistakes which is obviously good for me as a professional poker player.”

At the same Series, Saliba subsequently finished the $10,000 WSOP Main Event in 421st for a $27,743 payday, while at the last tournament of the WSOP Europe, the €10,300 Main Event, Saliba also managed another cash, this time finishing in 59th place out of 529 players for €16,710 ($19,442). In total, Saliba has now earned $193,780 throughout her career, and currently appears at number 117 on Brazil’s ‘All Time Money List’, although that is likely to change soon as she starts attending more and more events representing her new sponsor.

Vivian Saliba said that she started playing poker at the age of 17 after her father took to at a card club in Brazil. She even enjoyed instant success with a cash at her first tournament there, and in addition to falling in love with the game, also thoroughly enjoyed the social aspect of the game.
