Los Angeles, CA (November 3, 2017) – WPTDeepStacks™, poker’s premier mid-major tournament circuit, today announced the first half of its Season 5 schedule for North America, featuring eight stops and boasting $2.95 million in combined guarantees.

Season 5 of WPTDeepStacks kicks off at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, for a festival that is to run January 10-24, 2018. The Season 5 WPTDeepStacks Hollywood Main Event has a $1 million guaranteed prize pool and takes place January 11-16. The buy-in is once again $1,100, and last season this event attracted a field of 1,509 entries, with Michael Graffeo capturing the title and $290,687 first-place prize.

The second stop of the new WPTDeepStacks season will see the tour travel to the northern part of Florida for WPTDeepStacks bestbet in Jacksonville. The festival takes place March 2-12, anchored by the $1,500 Main Event that has a guarantee of $300,000 and takes place March 9-12.

From March 16-26, WPTDeepStacks stays on the East Coast for a trip to Live! Casino in Hanover, Maryland. The festival is highlighted by the WPTDeepStacks Maryland $1,500 Main Event that takes place March 23-26, and comes with a $300,000 prize pool guarantee. Last season’s WPTDeepStacks Maryland Main Event attracted 338 entries and saw Jose Montes earn his first WPTDeepStacks title.

The fourth stop sees WPTDeepStacks head back to Florida for the rescheduled (due to Hurricane Irma) WPTDeepStacks Immokalee tournament. The event has been relocated to Immokalee’s sister property, Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida, and the WPTDeepStacks Immokalee $1,100 Main Event will now kick off Seminole’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Poker Showdown, featuring a $250,000 guaranteed prize pool and running April 5-9.

Just as WPTDeepStacks Immokalee kicks off Seminole’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Poker Showdown in the east, Thunder Valley Casino Resort will host WPTDeepStacks on the opposite side of the US in Lincoln, California. The WPTDeepStacks Thunder Valley $1,100 Main Event runs April 6-9 and comes with a prize pool guarantee of $500,000. The guarantee is the second largest on the first half of the WPTDeepStacks schedule and a $200,000 increase over last season’s WPTDeepStacks Thunder Valley Main Event offering.

Season 5 will see the return of Casino Yellowhead in Canada to host a DeepStacks Poker Tour (DSPT) event in April. DSPT Casino Yellowhead runs April 6-16 in Edmonton, and the C$1,100 Main Event takes place April 13-16.

A brand new addition to the WPTDeepStacks schedule will take place from May 11-21, as the tour heads to Club One Casino in Fresno, California. It is the second trip to North California in Season 5 for WPTDeepStacks, and the $1,100 Main Event runs May 18-21 with a $300,000 guarantee.

The final event announced as part of the first half of the Season 5 WPTDeepStacks schedule is a return to Tampa, Florida, for WPTDeepStacks Tampa, taking place June 7-18.
