Alex Foxen Makes History With PGT PLO Series II Victory in Las Vegas

Poker superstar Alex Foxen continues his red-hot run on the live circuit, capturing Event #2: $5,300 PLO Quattro Bounty at the PokerGO Tour (PGT) PLO Series II inside PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas.
This marks Foxen’s second title in less than a month and an incredible career milestone — becoming the first player in PGT history to achieve 10,000 tour points and 100 recorded cashes.

Foxen, already one of poker’s biggest names, once again reminded the poker world why he’s among the most consistent and feared competitors in high-stakes tournaments.

💰 Back-to-Back Wins for the High-Stakes Crusher

Just weeks ago, Foxen won the PGT Poker Masters $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em event for $272,000 and followed it up with a runner-up finish worth $196,000. His latest victory adds another six-figure score—$87,000 in prize money plus $90,000 in bounties—pushing his total live earnings beyond $53 million, according to The Hendon Mob.

“Winning in Omaha feels extra satisfying,” Foxen said after the event. “The PLO games have been getting tougher, and I enjoy the challenge.”

♠️ PLO Power: From Double Knockout to Final Glory

The $5,300 buy-in event drew 133 entries and built a $665,000 prize pool, featuring a who’s who of PLO regulars. According to PokerGO updates, Foxen’s final-table run was fueled by a spectacular double knockout on Day 1 that set the tone for his deep run.

At the final four, Foxen faced Kamel Mokhammad (Ukraine), Michael Wang (USA), and LaDarren Banks (USA). Mokhammad was eliminated when his flush draw fell short, and soon after, Wang doubled through Foxen to briefly take the chip lead. However, Foxen quickly regained control, eliminating Banks and setting up a heads-up duel against Wang.

In the final hand, Wang’s pocket kings couldn’t fade Foxen’s aggression as Foxen rivered a straight to seal his latest victory — his second PLO win in under a year.

🔥 Foxen’s Non-Hold’em Success Continues

While best known for his No-Limit Hold’em dominance, Foxen is proving equally dangerous in Omaha. Earlier this year, he captured the PGT PLO Series $15,000 event for $315,000, and last fall, he earned his second WSOP bracelet by winning a $500 WSOP.com PLO Mystery Bounty event.

“Transitioning between Hold’em and PLO sharpens your instincts,” said Foxen. “Every street feels new, and that’s what keeps me motivated.”

🏅 Jesse Lonis Opens the Series With a Win

Before Foxen’s victory, Jesse Lonis claimed the Event #1: $5,100 Pot-Limit Omaha title, earning $175,000 after defeating Chino Rheem heads-up. Lonis made headlines for a $50,000 side bet he placed with several opponents — a move that added a layer of intensity to the event.

“It definitely created some crazy dynamics and tough decisions,” Lonis said on Instagram.

The stacked final table also featured Josh Arieh, who recently captured his seventh WSOP bracelet, alongside Isaac Haxton, Anthony Hu, and Frederic Normand.
