Kevin Rabichow Takes Down WPT Playground Poker Championship

Kevin Rabichow emerged triumphant from a 64-entry field in the 2024 World Poker Tour Playground Poker Championship $10,500 no-limit hold’em high roller. Facing a final table packed with bracelet winners, he claimed his first live tournament victory, earning $152,006 USD. This win adds to his impressive career, which includes nearly $4.6 million in tournament earnings, notably as the 2021 World Series of Poker $100,000 buy-in runner-up.

This wasn’t Rabichow’s first significant success at Playground Poker Club in Kahnawake, Ontario. In 2019, he finished second in the partypoker MILLIONS North America $10,300 CAD main event, taking home $481,000—his third-largest live cash.

Other notable performances included bracelet winner Tommy Nguyen, who placed sixth for $25,344, and Chanracy Khun, the 2023 WSOP $25,000 heads-up champion, who secured fourth place with $41,472. The runner-up, Pascal LeFrancois—2018 partypoker MILLIONS Grand Final Barcelona champion and 2010 WSOP $1,500 no-limit hold’em winner—claimed $111,341, bringing his career earnings to over $7.1 million from 63 live cashes.

With a prize pool of $459,456, the top eight finishers shared in a payout that far exceeded the $200,000 CAD guarantee, reaching a total of $640,000 CAD.
