Ronald Keijzer Wins Final High Roller At PGT Texas PLO Roundup

The third and final $5,100 buy-in pot-limit Omaha high roller event of the 2024 PokerGO Tour Texas PLO Roundup drew 22 entries, generating a $110,000 prize pool. The one-day event concluded with Dutch poker pro Ronald Keijzer claiming the winner’s belt buckle trophy and $40,150 in prize money after a heads-up deal with Arthur Morris.

Keijzer, a 2018 World Series of Poker bracelet winner in a $3,000 PLO event, now holds seven recorded tournament titles and over $3.1 million in career earnings. This victory also added 40 PokerGO Tour (PGT) points to his total, bringing his 2024 tally to 791 points and placing him 54th in the standings.

Isaac Kempton was eliminated on the bubble by Keijzer, who hit a seven-high straight to reduce the field to four players. Keijzer then knocked out Mark Ioli in fourth place for $12,100, taking a significant chip lead into three-handed play.

Ky Nguyen, who finished third in the second high roller event for $16,000 just the day before, secured another third-place finish, earning $17,600. His pocket aces were bested by Morris’ top set of jacks, ending Nguyen’s run.

Heads-up play began with Keijzer holding a 3:1 chip advantage over Morris. Although Morris managed an early double-up, the two decided to strike a deal, splitting the remaining prize pool. Each player locked up $40,150, leaving the trophy and title on the line.

In the final hand, all the chips went in on an A♠ 8♠ 4♥ flop. Morris held A♦ J♠ J♦ 2♥, while Keijzer had K♣ 10♥ 8♥ 4♦. The 5♣ turn and K♦ river gave Keijzer two pair, eliminating Morris in second place.

Morris, a WSOP Circuit main event champion, now boasts nearly $3.1 million in career tournament earnings after back-to-back runner-up finishes in this series.
