WSOP.com will host the first ever online WSOP Circuit series beginning September 18. At least $700,000 and 13 rings will be up for grabs in New Jersey and Nevada.
Poker players wanting in on the action aren’t required to reside in the aforementioned states. They must, however, compete in series events from within state borders.
The 13-event series runs until September 30. Each tournament has a guaranteed prize pool of at least $12,500 up to $200,000 for the series-ending Main Event. No-limit hold’em is the game of choice in all but one event ($215 Pot-limit Omaha 6-max on September 11).

Playing for More than Cash Online
WSOP.com has given online poker grinders an opportunity to win hardware the past few years. The 2018 WSOP featured four online bracelet events.
Now, the Caesars Entertainment-owned poker brand is giving away 13 Circuit rings to players in New Jersey and Nevada. A WSOP Circuit ring is awarded to winners of each Circuit event. Although not as coveted as a WSOP gold bracelet, it’s still a nice piece of jewelry to add to a trophy case.
Valentin Vornicu won his 12th WSOP Circuit event in May at Harrah’s New Orleans to become the all-time ring holder. He surpassed Maurice Hawkins who is still stuck on 11. Robert Hankins, Ari Engel, Alexandru Masek, and Joshua Reichard are tied for 3rd with nine.
What is the WSOP Circuit Series
The WSOP Circuit is the World Series of Poker’s low-stakes brand. There are dozens of host locations for Circuit events throughout the year. Each stop features 13 events with buy-ins ranging from $250 up to the $1,700 Main Event. A ring is awarded to each tournament’s winner.
The 2018 WSOP Circuit season kicked off August 2 at Harrah’s in Cherokee, North Carolina. Adam Ross from Roswell, Georgia won the Main Event for $295,970.
Thunder Valley Casino in Lincoln, California will play host to a Circuit series beginning Thursday. Upcoming stops include Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Biloxi.
In between those live stops, WSOP.com will host tournaments for players in Nevada and New Jersey. The 13 winners in that series will be the first to win Circuit rings online.
This is the only online poker series on the 2018 WSOP Circuit schedule.
