Betty White turned 97 years old yesterday and she celebrated moving one year closer to the century mark with a poker game.
White, who has the longest television career of any female entertainer in history, has a regular poker game with some very close friends in Los Angeles. According to People, White will be celebrating with that same poker game and birthday cake.
Los Angeles has a reputation for holding some of the biggest private games in the world between some of Hollywood’s biggest stars. In an appearance on The Late Show with James Corden in 2017, however, White made it clear that this isn’t a high-stakes affair.
“We don’t play for a lot of money,” White told Corden. “In fact, we don’t play for any money. But we play for blood. Absolutely. It’s serious business.
