Montreal has always been a highlight on the World Poker Tour, and it’s not just because it’s one of the most beautiful, quaint, and eccentric cities I’ve ever visited. Playground Poker Club is one of the most impressive poker rooms in the world, making it a must-visit stop on the World Poker Tour.
Montreal is Canada’s second largest city, also known as ‘Canada’s Cultural Capital.’
Lonely Planet describes the city best:
“Montreal is a collage of language and history, a sum of its eclectic and evolving parts, where well-known neighborhoods like the Plateau Mont-Royal attract and charm visitors with their multicultural heritage and Quebecois cachet. But beyond the bagels of Mile End and cobblestones of Old Montreal are districts that, despite being off the tourist trail, remain vibrant parts of the city’s unique tapestry.”
WPT Royal Flush Crew members Caitlyn Howe, Tugba Ercan, and I went on a walk around the city, exploring the oldest part of town by the port, the creative haven of The Plateau, Mont Royal for the best view of the city and, of course, we tried poutine.
Playground Poker Club is massive with more than 100 poker tables across three impressive poker rooms. They have a spacious and intimately-lit cash game area, plus two major tournament halls. All of that, and they are still expanding. This time, they’re going UP!
Phil Sabbah gave me a tour around the club so you can see for yourself why you need to join us next season!
